Rena Sherel SOFER
Rena Sherel Sofer is an American
actresswho is known for her appearances on live television, episodic guest
appearances, as well as made-for-television movies. Sofer won the Daytime Emmy
Award in 1995 for her character Lois Cerullo on the soap opera General
Hospital. She has been acting as Quinn Fuller since 2013 on CBS' soap opera The
Bold and The Beautiful. Sofer was born in Arcadia, California, the daughter of
Susan Sofer, a psychology professor, and Martin Sofer, a Conservative rabbi.
Her family then moved to Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, until following divorce of
her parents, [citation neededshe emigrated with her father and brother David to
Teaneck, New Jersey, in 1970. They lived in Western Pennsylvania when Sofer was
five years old. The family was based in Ambridge Pennsylvania where their
father was director of Beth Samuels Jewish Center. She was a student at the
Frisch School, an coeducational Mordern Orthodox Jewish highschool in Paramus
(New Jersey). Sofer was born in North Bergen where her father was the rabbi at
synagogue Temple Beth El. After finishing her studies at North Bergen High
School she went to Montclair State College. Sofer began her career as Lois
Marie Cerullo on General Hospital. In 1993, she was a band manager. Her first
major part was that of Rocky McKenzie on the daytime soap series Loving
(1988-91). Sofer is perhaps most well-known for her character Lois Cerullo on
General Hospital (December 15 1993 to September 24, 1996). Later , she was back
on the show as a guest star (February 7 1997 to September 30 (1997); October 2,
1997 - October 2 1997). Sofer was awarded an Daytime Emmy Award 1995 for
Outstanding Supporting Artistress in Drama Series for her portrayal of Lois.
Sofer has joined CBS's soap-opera The Bold and the Beautiful as Quinn Fuller, a
role she had just created. The premiere of the show aired in July 2013. Sofer
