Renee Kathleen Zellweger was born on April 25 1969 in Katy, Texas, Her mother, Kjellfrid Irene (Andreassen), is a Norwegian-born former nurse and midwife, of Norwegian, Kven (Finnish) as well as Swedish descent. Emil Erich Zellweger is her father. He is a Swiss engineer. They were became married in 1963. Drew Zellweger was Renee's older brother. He is an executive in the field of marketing who was born on the 15th of February 1967. Renee got interested in acting at the age of 14 when she was a member of the drama group. She enrolled in an acting class at the University of Texas (Austin) and began to consider acting as a career.
