Anne Burrell

Anne W. Burrell has been a chef and television personality in the United States and an instructor at Institute of Culinary Education. Burrell hosts Secrets of a Restaurant Chef on the Food Network and the co-host of Worst Cooks in America. Anne Burrell, with her signature spiky blonde locks and her edgy personality on Food Network's Secrets of a Restaurant Cook series, shares an easy and straightforward techniques for home cooks. Chef Burrell was employed in New York at top restaurants as well as studied Italian cuisine traditions and landscape. Also, she was a contestant on Iron Chef America on Food Network. While living in the New York's upstate region, Burrell became passionate about food and cooking. The Culinary Institute of America has sparked her interest in the management of restaurants after she graduated with the English and Communications degree from Canisius College Buffalo NY. The Culinary Institute of America is where I spent the most enjoyable time of my life. Culinary Institute of America was a fantastic place to study. Following graduation, Chef Burrell resided in Italy for a whole year studying at classes at the Italian Culinary Institute for Foreigners. Additionally, she worked at La Taverna del Lupo and La Bottega del 30 (a Michelin starred restaurant) located in Tuscany. In her time in Italy she was able to fully be aware of the philosophy behind Italian culinary and cultural traditions that made a lasting impression in her point of view. Burrell served as a member of the Garden of Dreams Foundation Advisory Board to brighten the lives of children who face difficulties. Additionally, she is an Juvenile Research Foundation Celebrity Ambassador who promotes education about children with diabetes. As a guest speaker and mentor she travels across the U.S. to share her passion for cooking as well as her professional career. Anne says she was incredibly fortunate in that she could share her true passion with the people around her.
